Pittsburgh Anti-War Protest

Pittsburgh Anti-War March Draws Thousands:

I’m not surprised really. Pittsburgh is a very liberal city. There’s an old saying that goes Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Kentucky in between. Meaning that Pitt and Philly are in the liberal minority in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. What kills me is these protesters are the first people to cry about human rights but yet they don’t want to see this genocidal madman dictator removed from power. A quote from the article….

Money put toward invading Iraq would be better used in education and health care at home, Pittsburgh kindergarten teacher Eileen Jardini said.
“Their economy and infrastructure are already compromised. Their people are suffering already without health care. If we go in, the people we’ll hurt the most won’t be the army. It’s the women and children,”

Isn’t that even more of a reason to remove Hussein from power? He’s not going to step down if we ask him politely. If allowed to remain in power he could very well turn out to be the next Hitler. If he isn’t already. No one is for war but sometimes it’s the only recourse. Protest against it and say its all about oil all you want but would you be able to live with your conscience if he started wiping out entire countries? Think about it.
