Teen charged with making terrorist threats at Gulf Shores school:

One 15-year-old student has been expelled and arrested and another has been suspended in relation to a threat made at Gulf Shores High School in Alabama…

Some local students have told WPMI-TV 15 that the arrested student spoke of killing Jewish classmates on April 20, the anniversary of the 1999 Columbine High School shooting in Colorado. That date is the birthday of Adolf Hitler, the Nazi leader in Germany in World War II.

Gulf Coast Newspapers, which publishes twice a week in Baldwin County, also reported that school officials found Nazi swastikas in the lockers of both students. Knight declined to comment about what was recovered by police.

I agree with “Katie” and “Bryan Corsen,” I don’t believe that either one of the kids were plotting to shoot up some Jews. Finding a swastika means absolutley nothing, often times rebelious teens and/or artists of sorts will be all “Arr! Swastika!” Not necessarily representing Nazism but rather attempting to shock the public. That’s what they do. Shock the public. Not shoot. Shock.

Yes, I originally called him a mutant because in the past history of these kinds of situations 9 times out of 10 the kid involved usually is a mutant. However if you read my later entries on this situation after some researching I have amended my stance on that. I’m not 100% convinced of his innocence but I’m not 100% convinced of his guilt either.

I went to the high school and have a very updated story about the issue, number one dont make a video at your house showing how you would like to kill people, number two when you escape from your house while under house arrest and scare the hell out of the community you are obviously mentally screwed up. He deserves to be in jail not in the comfort of his home!!!!

These kids are innocent. Now their childhoods are ruined. One under house arrest and going to have to deal with the snails pace of the adult judicial system. The other is sleeping on a concrete slab with a 1? foam mattress. Locked up. 15. Away from his family. There is NO evidence. What is this stupid shit about taking evacuation plans? These are GIVEN to EVERY STUDENT at the begining of school in the handbook. DUH? And I think the kids know which door they entered that morning to find their way out….I know these kids. They are smart, funny, kind, generous. Not an evil bone exists. Joe writes screenplays for movies. Horror movies. Hate to see what they would have done with M. Knight Shamalyn’s computer. Everyone should feel safe at school even if Joe or Rey where attending April 20th. They aren’t bad people at all. Fantasy did NOT turn into reality. Everyone has there own opinion. But people take other peoples word for it and assume things, when you should think about it. Ponder the situation. Just because they like the ‘gothic’ look does not mean they will kill a innocent person/student. Please do not listen to the media. THEY LIE. hey i go to gulf shores high and i didnt really know this guy at all “joe” and the 15 year old i saw them before but trust me i never really thought this stuff would happen at my school i thought it was perfectly safe and now look at what happened. Im not gonna start drama or anything but i was so scared to go back to school after i heard what was going to happen i know of some jewish kids that have withdrawn from our school and the person seemed real scared. Well all of use here i think is a little shocked most people have mixed feelings and really dont know what all he did and is saying free him he is so innocent he would never ever do anything like this and we dont even really know if they knew what he is able to do but dont post that stuff on the internet(video) have some since please. We dont know if theres a list or not okay. That is all my opinion and i dont know about you guys but im kindda glad he is on house arrest and the 15-year-old in juvenile hall i think but seriously it could happen anywhere so think about that to and you guys try and please keep safe and im sure those guys are thinking twice now about what they have done.

hey i attend gulf shores high and no one really knows whats going on but them. i knew the minor and he was a nice, sweet person a little wierd at times but wouldnt harm a person. he use to do magic for little kids. i didnt know know he use to freak me out alot. but even though i knew the minor i didnt know alot about it i jus saw him around alot talked a little but that was about it. no one knows what either of these boys were capable of and everyone is running scared bc no one knows whats goin to happen. no one knows if they are innocent or not we can just hope nothing happens and stick together and get threw this. everyone is scared but lets find all the facts out until we speak

I can absolutely, positively, guarantee you 100%, that an attack was not going to take place at this school. Unfortnately, someone who I thought was a wise person made a premature statement to the press and THAT caused more of a scare among the students than either of these boys.

I know for a fact that one of these boys had absolutely no interest or desire in shooting guns or any knowledge or interest in bombs. The other, from what I understand from people who know him well, say the same about him. But I have to be fair about the fact that I don’t know this one personally. However, the one that I do know, I know better than any of you who have responded to this blog, and I can promise you he may be alittle different, but he is by no means what-so-ever a killer. Point being made, you have to have guns and bombs to commit a crime such as a “Columbine Style Attack”. No guns or bombs have been found. Nothing having anything to do with guns or bombs have been found.

It’s unfortunate that politicians trying to make themselves look powerful can feed off of childrens rumors and bogus evidence and cause an even bigger panic in an already worried community. Because of this statement, the media jumped on it and made more of it than what it really was. If I was not so personally involved with one of the suspects, I may have reacted the same way. I do understand that this statement and the media coverage gave people good reason to panic and I really hate that kids actually withdrew from school because of it.

But like I said before, an attack was NOT going to take place. So to all of you kids who are afraid, please don’t be. You are safe! I promise!

To those of you who want to bash these two guys, STOP!! You don’t know facts, you only know rumors and what the media is saying. It’s too bad people can’t be more open minded and give someone a chance instead of feeding off of rumors, politics, and the media.

Joe is much more to me than my little friend! I’m just trying to defend him and point out the fact that, yes, the excitement is over for Gulf Shores students. But it’s far from over for the accused. Not to take any threat of this nature lightly, but there was never gonna be an attack on Gulf Shores High. I understand that rumors running rampid around that school caused some chaos and excitment, but that’s over and now an innocent person is paying for it. But like I said before, I apologize for misunderstanding your comment.

However, I do not believe I am misunderstanding that you are calling them twins. These two individuals are far from twins. And one more thing, it’s not good to go by what a friend of a friend says, because that’s what gets people in this kind of mess in the first place.
