i go to NBHS and its really not that bad. It's the damn freshman that are always starting crap thats why their butts are seperated from the rest of us. Most inner city white kids I know struggle and often fail. Those schools suck. I know a black girl, one of the top 10 sharpest kids I have ever known. Also honest, brave, generous, good-hearted and humorous in her quick wit. Our cultural myth is that she’ll distinguish herself and get a full scholarship somewhere that can handle her brilliance. There is no such scholarship, no such support, no such education. It’s bullshit.

Just Me, in most of the discussions on this blog, people defend criminal behavior by saying the people who committed the violent acts are really nice, cool people. When someone does a shitty thing, their friends need to acknowledge the shitty nature of the act or those perpetrators will never have what they need to grow and be better people. Sometimes friends need to tell their friends when they cannot get behind something they did. Friendship isn’t blind support, it’s telling it like it is. Saying “I got your back” when someone is doing something bad is false friendship. Real friendship is tougher than that, requires risks.

Assaults are crimes. They can’t be permitted. Small acts of violence almost always become bigger ones. It scares me that you think an act of violence is somehow ok because no one was leaking serious blood. Are you serious? Can you image how that sounds to people, how it makes the school you’re defending sound to us?

i have followed trench's blog for a long time. Now I must speak about something that many won't like, but this report on the Long Island incident and the comments that follow indicate a larger problem. Correct me if I'm wrong but there seems to be a disparity in the media coverage and also the sentencing in violent acts depending on the race of the participants. I am thinking of the underreported case of Sarah Kreager, a white woman severely beaten by blacks because of an argument over a seat on a bus. And the three white women in the Los Angeles beating, whose black attackers re eived only probation. Especially disturbing is the intervention of the ACLU and NAACP on the side of the attackers. Yes, of course whites commit crimes against blacks, but there the perpetrators tend to get long jail sentences. hat am missing? And those horrible black vs white girl fight videos that can only appeal to perverts, but some of them look like criminal acts against white girls who dont want to fight anymore than Victoria Lindsay did. Why are these not news? They can be accessed easily on the Net, I personally do not want to see them anymore. Were these videos really what they looked like? Or were they all staged and not serious? And while I hope that the people who attacked Tori receive some meaningful punishment, why the different response of the media and the community to the Lakewood six as opposed to the Jena six? So what am I missing?
