Washington rapists ID’d through MySpace

Four teens charged with rape on Eastside:
Four unnamed teens from Kent and Federal Way, Washington are under arrest on rape charges.

It is alleged that they got a 16-year-old drunk and then raped her in the back of a car back in November.

Not only was the victim able to identify two of the suspects through MySpace but one of the MySpaces had a description of the attack.

The suspects were 17 at the time of the attack. One has turned 18 and they’re not sure whether or not to try them as adults. By now you should all know that trying them as adults shouldn’t even be a question.

Creepy Kentucky bus driver arrested

Bus driver accused of using MySpace to lure teen:
46-year-old Gary L. Clark of Morehead, Kentucky was a bus driver. I say was because I’m sure he’s lost his job after being arrested for soliciting a teen over MySpace.

Police said he solicited the boy to meet him Saturday and allegedly coerced him into getting into his vehicle. There, “inappropriate actions” occurred, but police declined to elaborate.

The victim was not one of the kids that rode his bus.

Reward offered for college threat

Reward offered in college death threats case:

College police at Bridgewater State College in Massachusetts are offering a $500 reward for any information leading to the arrest of someone who made a threat against the school.

The threats were found on bathroom walls in various parts of the facility that said “murder 2-28″ and “death 2-28″.

This is a great idea by police because what college student wouldn’t dime out his friends for 500 clams?

Utah MySapce con man arrested

Man Accused Of Targeting Women Online To Cash Bad Checks Arrested:
23-year-old Jeff Ipson of West Jordan, Utah has been arrested for scamming women out of thousands of dollars. Ipson would meet these women on MySpace then convince them that he had money. Then he would pull a scam that I usually only see on craigslist

“He said, ‘hey we’re closer to your bank and most people don’t take personal
checks so how bout I just write you a check, and you cash it for me’, and that’s how it started.”

Detectives say Ipson wrote out checks to the women, had them cash the checks at their banks and give him the money. The checks were all bad because the checking accounts had been closed.

Ipson is facing several felony charges of theft by deception.

Gun scare at NDSU

Questionable character:

North Dakota State Universtity had somewhat of a crisis on Tuesday when it was reported that a man with a gun was on campus.

The man in question was one 28-year-old Vincent Degidio Jr. and the gun in question was a realistic looking pellet gun. He was discovered by a janitor who was a former Merchant Marine. Degidio fled the school, and who wouldn’t when confronted by a Merchant Marine, and was shortly captured by police.

It seems that Mr. Degidio is no stranger to the law…

Degidio was released from prison six weeks ago after serving nearly nine years for convictions of aggravated robbery and burglary.

He moved to Moorhead last month to live with his sister.

Bloomington, Minn., authorities had dealt with Degidio in the past and were following him on Jan. 14, 1999, when they watched him dart into McGlynn’s Bakery and come running out a short time later.

“He got about as far as the end of the parking lot” before he was arrested, Bloomington Detective Steve Anda said.

Degidio, then 19, used a knife, which Anda described as a dagger, to threaten the clerk and was apprehended with the money from the robbery in his pocket, Anda said.

Degidio’s troubles continued in prison. He had more than 90 disciplinary incidents while incarcerated, including abuse, making threats and disorderly conduct, said Shari Burt, spokeswoman for the Minnesota Department of Corrections.

It’s unknown why Degidio took the gun to NDSU.

But here’s to you pellet gun wielding, school storming, store robbing guy.

Fake hooker ad leads to carjacking

Man carjacked, robbed in Pittsburg after responding to Craigslist sex ad:

A 23-year-old man from Brentwood, California was carjacked in Pittsburg, California after responding to a craigslist hooker ad. The location should have been a dead giveaway that he was going to be in trouble…

The victim found the ad on Craigslist and called the phone number to set up a date with the purported prostitute at a Pittsburg address in the Brickyard Housing Development around 9:30 p.m., Pittsburg police Lt. Brian Addington said Tuesday.

I don’t know anything about Pittsburg but that sounds like a pretty rough part of town. The phrase crack-ho comes to mind.

Anyway instead of being met by a prostitute he was met with a shotgun butt to the head and his truck was stolen.

Let that be a warning to all you crack-ho aficionados.

Rape charges dropped over craigslist ad

Charges Dropped Against Man Accused Of Impersonating Deputy, Raping Woman:

Here’s another downside to being a craigslist hooker. If you’re raped you won’t be believed.

Robert Pegues was arrested for impersonating a deputy and raping a woman. Then his lawyer turned up the woman’s craigslist ad and phone records showing that Pegues spoke several times with the woman prior to the alleged rape. Pegues says he responded to the woman’s ad but then had cold feet and didn’t pay the woman who in turn accused him of rape.

I’m not saying who’s right or wrong in this instance but it’s a damn interesting story that should be noted.

Oklahoma plot foiled

Suspect planned Chickasha, Lawton high schools as sites for fatal attacks:

This is quite the interesting story.

20-year-old Joshua James Hunter of Anadarko, Oklahoma was arrested last Thursday for plotting an attack against Eisenhower High School and Chickasha High School.

The plan was for multiple people to release chemical bombs while randomly shooting students at both schools.

Hunter told his plans to a woman who in turn went and contacted police.

No motive was given by this article or if any other suspects were involved.

Hunter is looking at a possible 35 years for three felony counts of committing a terrorist hoax, threatening violence, and arson for setting a fire behind the police station.

Ohio teen torturers

Over at the most depressing site in the world, News of Doom, I posted a story about an 18-year-old girl from Ohio that was recovering from brain surgery. Two teens broke into her home and hit her in the head with a baseball bat among other atrocities.

The article I cited didn’t give the suspects’ names but thanks to reader Squeaky I not only have their names but I also have the MySpaces of 17-year-old Cheyenne Blanton, and 16-year-old Joseph Nagle.

Besides the girl who was assaulted the real victim in all of this is the baby of these criminals. I feel sorry for him that his parents are such useless members of society.

Red Lake families sue consulting firm

Consultant sued over Red Lake shootings:

Families of the victims of the Red Lake shooting are suing a consulting firm whose job it was to provide the school with a contingency plan in case of such crises. Obviously their contingency plan didn’t work.

The families are suing MacNeil Environmental Inc. stating that their security plan didn’t work.

The lawyers say they have received strong expert opinion on their claims that MacNeil’s plan was confusing, poorly formatted and contained conflicting directions for school staff.

Normally I’m against families of school shooting victims suing 3rd parties but this lawsuit actually sounds like it does have merit.

Previously the families had sued the Red Lake School District and were awarded $900K between the families.
