Actress Sues, Alleging Fake Craigslist Ad Placed in Her Name:
Actress Gabrielle Union is suing a few individuals who used her name in a purported craigslist scam.
The fake ad was advertising a position as an assistant for Ms. Union. The people who placed the ad then asked applicants for their personal information of course. However this sounds like a little more than just identity theft.
Hession said that those who responded to the ad were given an employment application that asked for background details and Social Security information. Some applicants were interviewed by one of the defendants at shopping malls, he said, and the interviewer, Chan’Drieka Morrison, allegedly reported specific information about their appearance to the other defendants, Steve Raymond, who purportedly runs Steve Raymond International; Richard McPherson; and Calvin High.
The defendants appear to have been looking for a specific type of person — women between the ages of 25 and 30, Hession said.
As to what they could have been planning my imagination is running wild with theories.
