Malibu twins missing

Parents Fear Special Needs Twin Girls in Danger After Disappearing From California Home:

16-year-olds Mary and Morgan Corrodi of Malibu, California are two twin girls who are special needs students. According to their father, Jack Corrodi, they have IQs of 70 and go to special education classes at their high school.

They disappeared on Sunday and were last seen getting into the back of car in front of their house.

I don’t know if it was the media or the police who revealed it to him but their father did not know that the girls had seven different MySpace accounts.

“They would look up a few things on the computer, usually with the argument that it was something for school,” he told FOXNews.com. “We were unaware it might lead to this.”

Can I stress anymore how important it is to keep an eye on what your kids are doing online?

Hopefully the girls will be returned safely soon.

I really hate to say anything bad at all about a father at a time like this, but really, how is it possible that this sentence could come out of his mouth?

I used to think parents were being ignorant, or pretending the problem doesn't exist, but maybe they really ARE that unaware?

Apparently yes. This is why children do not need computers in their rooms, and they do not need access to any passworded computers. Parents need to be able to check in on what their kids are doing online. It's that simple. This worries me horribly. Obviously these kids had low iq's and children with -high- Iqs often have a very hard time with common sense. These kids had no chance. *sigh* I hope they're alright.
