Craigslist scalper scams Madonna fans:

A ticket scalper that went by the name of Kurt Holton took several people on Madonna tickets. One victim even verified that the tickets were legit with TicketMaster. Except when she showed up at the show the tickets were rendered void.

If I remember correctly the way the scam works is that the scammer orders the tickets with a stolen credit card. The credit card owner doesn’t discover the charge until after the tickets have been delivered. That’s when TicketMaster voids the tickets.

So let that be a lesson. Don’t buy tickets on craigslist and don’t pay to see Madonna.

You may be wrong about the stolen credit card part. The scammer really is Kurt Holton. He used his own credit card to buy the tickets. We have spoken to police because when I bought my tickets from Mr. Holton, I jotted down his license plate number just in case. His name was on the ticket and the plate number was also for Kurt Holton.
