Juvenile trial sought for Pa. school plot suspect:
The attorney for Richard Yanis filed a request yesterday to have his client’s case moved to juvenile court.
Yanis is accused of plotting an attack against Pottstown High in Pennsylvania. If you’ll recall he stole his father’s gun and gave it to a friend to hold onto. The friend told his mom who contacted authorities.
Yanis has been charged as an adult with attempted murder among other charges. Yanis’ attorney argues that trying Yanis as a juvenile “will serve the public interest.” Even though I don’t live in Pennsylvania anymore I think “the public” would be better served if his ass remained locked up for 10-20. But that’s just me.
