Police say Ypsilanti women nearly fall prey to scam after posting ad on Craigslist:

Two women from Ypsilanti, Michigan almost fell for the fake check scam after they posted rooms for rent on craigslist. Luckily the bank told them the checks were fakes before they cashed them. Remember, if a check is for more than the amount you’re asking for it’s a fake.

Grandview police warn users of craigslist:

Police in Grandview, Illinois are warning citizens to be aware of the fake check scam. They’ve had two reports lately of fake checks being sent to craigslist sellers that have been written out on checks that appear to be from Massachusetts Life Insurance Co. Mass. Life is aware of the scam.

Man arrested for making terroristic threats on craigslist:

48-year-old Randall Hudson of Bexar County, Texas was arrested for posting terroristic threats on craigslist Rant and Raves section. Here’s a sample…
