craigslist crime blotter 4/13/09 – More snark for the hookers edition

Oshkosh woman accused of running home prostitution business:

A 33-year-old woman in Oshkosh, WI was arrested on suspicion that she was hooking herself out of her house while her husband was at work and the kids were at school. Of course she advertised on craigslist. The article even has a response from craigslist but it’s not much of one.

While Craigslist provides space for “erotic services” on their Web site, Craiglist CEO Jim Buckmaster said in an e-mail to the Northwestern that efforts are being made to stop the illegal activity.

Hey, Jim. In case you haven’t noticed your ‘efforts’ aren’t working.

South Brunswick police accuse two women of advertising prostitution on Craigslist:

Police in South Brunswick, NJ arrested Willmarie Luberza, 24, and Alyssa Sweitzer, 19, on suspicion of being craigslist hookers. The article is filled with the ‘police should stop real crime’ comments. Personally I like my police to fight all crime.

Two nabbed in prostitution sting:

Police in Collier County, Florida arrested Angelique Merdith, 25, and Michelle Stubben, 19, for being alleged Travslist hookers. Nice fivehead on the 2nd mugshot.
