Valley REACTs to Craigslist counterfeits:

Adobe and Microsoft have enlisted the help of a Silicon Valley anti-piracy group known as REACT to help them bust people selling pirated software on craigslist.

Jennifer Wadsworth of The Daily Beast has a nice write up about the death of Donna Jou at the hands of John Steven Burgess and how craigslist was involved.

Couple Charged With Human Trafficking:

26 year old Byron Thompson and 28 year old Lea Bell of Reisterstown, Md. have been federally indicted on human traficking charges. It’s alleged that the pair were running a child prostitution ring off of craigslist.

They used three teenage girls, two 15 year olds and a 17 year old in a commercial sex for hire business.

The pair are facing at least 35 years each.

Man charged with pimping on Craigslist:

32-year-old Guyboyson Dorcely has been charged with being a craigslist pimp in Danvers, Mass. Some of his alleged girls were picked up in March.

Man Charged In Craigslist Robbery:

Gary Rezendes was arrested in Apex, North Carolina for robbing a man in a parking lot at knife point. He met his victim through the casual encounters section of craigslist.

School employee accused of stealing:

Robert Clopton allegedly stole over 100 computers from the Round Rock, Texas school district and sold them on craigslist. Clopton has been a school district employee for 20 years.
