Plea made in MySpace murder of father

Teen accepts plea in murder of father over MySpace:

I originally posted about Hughstan Schlicker here. He was the 15-year-old boy who killed his father last year in Mesa, Arizona because his father wouldn’t allow him access to MySpace.

Yesterday he pleaded guilty to second degree murder which should give him a sentence of 20-22 years. I’m curious to know why prosecutors didn’t pursue first degree murder charges.

So what if he’s only 16 now. He brutally and cowardly shotgunned his father to death all because he wasn’t allowed to go on MySpace. This kid deserves nothing less than a life sentence.

Ky. pair accused of raping 15-year-old

Girl, 15, allegedly lured on Web site, given alcohol and assaulted:

Mr. Personality over there is 24-year-old Christopher Wayne Kidd of Corbin, Kentucky. Kidd and a 17-year-old accomplice are accused of getting a 15-year-old girl drunk and raping her. Of course since you’re reading it here you’d be safe to assume that they met the girl on MySpace. The 17-year-old went to school with the victim so you can take the ‘she lied about her age’ argument out of it. Not like that argument ever works.

On a side note did you ever notice how many criminals end up have the middle names of either Wayne, Lee or Ray?

Austin call girl strangled to death

Austin man arrested in death of woman found near store:

A lot of the time I get accused of picking on craigslist because of the erotic/adult services ads. People tell me that they’re not the only online venue of prostitution. You know what? They’re absolutely right. So I’m starting yet another feature here at the site about the dangers of prostitution and how it’s not a victimless crime and should not be legalized.

The new feature is called 22 Acacia Avenue. The name is taken from an Iron Maiden song about a fictional prostitute called Charlotte the Harlot and one man’s attempt to get her out of the business. You can hear the song here.

Now on to our first story of the feature.

Crazy Joe up there is 29-year-old Nathaniel Edwin Briscoe of Austin, TX. He’s been charged in the murder of Austin call girl Amy Elizabeth Dickey, 28. Allegedly Briscoe contacted her online for her services. He paid her $150 for sex. Then it’s believed that Briscoe strangled her to death. Can’t really call him another ‘craigslist killer’ yet because it has not been released what online venue he used. He then dumped her body in a wooded area. Her body was found on Thursday and police were able to track down Briscoe through her cell phone.

So let’s see, consenting adults? I doubt she consented to be strangled to death. Victimless? Hardly. Would this have had happened if prostitution was legal? More than likely.

To all the gals and guys who are thinking about turning to prostitution to make some easy money please don’t. Don’t be another victim like Amy Elizabeth Dickey. The same thing could happen to you or worse.

Thanks to Annette for the tip.

In death Larose-Cut Off shooter saved lives

School teen shooter’s organs donated:

Justin Doucet’s organs were donated after his death and mat save the lives of many. As you know by now Doucet fired a shot at a teacher at Larose-Cut Off Middle School in Larose, Louisiana before running into the bathroom shooting himself under the chin. Doucet was in a coma before finally dying this past Saturday.

His parents chose to donate his organs and in turn his heart and liver have gone on to save two children and several more might be saved.

Man accused of craigslist abduction

Man Abducts Woman He Met on Craigslist: Police:

Angry Jim over there is 26-year-old Gregory Rother of Fairfax, Virginia. He allegedly met a 23-year-old woman over craigslist and when he went to her house he brandished a pair of knives and ordered her to strip. After trashing the place he ordered her to get dressed and forced her into a car.

When they drove past a police officer the woman signaled the officer who pulled them over. The victim then ran to the police car.

No word on what section of craigslist they met over. I’m guessing casual encounters which could use some cleaning up as well.

And ladies, my advice to you is don’t hook up with people on craigslist.

Now that I think of it Rother reminds me of somebody.

Fresno man arrested for having sex with runaway teen

Fresno Deputies Arrest Man For Sexually Assaulting Teen He Met On Myspace:

Speaking of Fresno, California 20-year-old Luis Bernabe of Fresno was arrested for not only harboring a runaway but also for having sex with the 13-year-old girl. Bernabe allegedly met the girl over MySpace months ago. He picked her up form her house in Kettleman City and took her to his house in Fresno. The girl’s mother found Bernabe’s address in her daughter’s room.

Now here’s the best part. When the cops showed up at Bernabe’s home he hid in a closet. I’m guessing he was well aware of the girl’s age when the cops showed up.

Man shot and killed at MySpace party

Search for MySpace Party Shooting Gunman:

20-year-old Marcos Hernandez was shot and killed while attending an illegal party in Fresno, California that was advertised on Myspace.

The killer is still at large and police are asking that if you have any information to contact the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department.

Seriously kids, don’t attend these kinds of parties. They only invite trouble.

Dave Cullen’s Columbine

If you haven’t yet read the book Columbine by author and Journalist Dave Cullen you’re really missing out. I haven’t read it yet myself but I’ve read enough reviews of it to now that Dave did a great job of dispelling the myths that have permeated Columbine for the past 10 years.

I’ve been a fan of Dave’s ever since he wrote what I believe to be the definitive article ob Columbine, The Depressive and the Psychopath.

Dave Cullen’s website has all the details you need on the book.

Samuel Robert “Bob” Davis threw his wife off of a bridge

For the first time in over 70 years, the small town of Choudrant, LA (population 830) has had a homicide. On Saturday night, Samuel Davis allegedly killed his wife in their home, and then threw her body off of a bridge. Unfortunately for Davis, there were witnesses. He did not try to hide what he was doing either. He was arrested shortly after throwing her body off of the bridge. The body of Meredith Jean Davis was recovered as well.

It has not been disclosed how Jean was actually murdered.
