Backpage hooker sting in Columbia, Mo.

Prostitution sting nets seven arrests:

Police in Columbia, Missouri arrested 7 women in a backpage.com hooker sting. Again I could care less about their names anymore but since the paper was able to provide us with mugshots I am required to give my mugshot commentary.

#1 kind of looks like Heather Locklear on meth, #2 is the undead, #4 is someone’s grandmother, and 5 and 7 need to layoff the sharpies.

And yet again while government officials are jumping all over craigslist the Village Voice Media owned backpgae is still flying under the radar.

This is why websites should monitor ads before posting.
The websites should make the poster include full name, title and licensure when individuals post as professional “Massage/Body Rub” services.
Prostitutes claim they have training performing ‘Massage/Body Rub”  and use this profession as their service. They should be prosecuted for fraud since they are not licensed or have training to practice such service.

That has been used by police in some prostitution busts however backpage would never do this because that would cut into their profits.

I have even sent the same previous not to the individuals advertising “massage/Body Rub” that have nude, vgar, explicit photos and warn them they are noncompliant with MSBPR and what they are doing is prostitution.
They reply to me they “don’t care” or “I have the right to advertise”.

It seems the website should make them advertise under what they really obviously are “Escorts”.
Only professionals offering an adult “Massage/Body Rub” Service should be allowed under such links.

Missouri State Board of Professional Registration requires individuals that advertise “Massage/Body Rub” must include full name, business name, title and license number in all advertisement. This is to prevent individuals to practice without proper licensure or training for such service. Also, MSBPR will not ever allow nude, explicit, vulgar photographs.
So, if these individuals are advertising they are performing professional service they have no training for and are noncompliant with Missouri law… it seems Missouri needs to take a stand and close down these websites within X amount of days if individuals are posting as professionals without complying with Missouri State Dept of Professional Registration regulations and law.

I have to insist it can be so easy to stop these websites from posting ads for prostitutes under links that are for professionals, if their poster does not meet requirements by law. (full name, business name, title, license number)
