Terry Wayne Haupt
We haven’t had one of these stories in a while but sheriffs in Maricopa County, Arizona, have arrested 52-year-old Terry Wayne Haupt for allegedly wanting to have sex with a female dog through craigslist. Sheriff Joe Arpario stated that Haupt’s ad on craigslist was very graphic. I don’t know why but for some reason this is a hot button issue for Sheriff Joe as his department has made numerous arrests for what I like to call craigslist pooch-screwers.
Like I said this is nothing new for craigslist as they have a long history of its users looking for ‘K9′ in the casual encounters section .
Seriously, what is it with Snapchat and teachers?
Anyway, this time the suspect is 29-year-old Todd Christopher Gibson of Landsdale, Pennsylvania. He was arrested by police in Towamencin for allegedly Snapchatting pics of his junk to a then 17-year-old female student in August of last year. Police reports also say that when the student said that he would be caught Gibson supposedly said he did not care and that Gibson repeatedly asked the girl to come to his home.
Gibson has been suspended by the school but no word on if that was with or without pay.
Tub of Goo over there is 30-year-old Nathaniel Lamb of Charlottesville, Virginia. I’ve posted about him once before about a year ago here. Back in 2013 he was charged with allegedly raping a prostitute he had met through craigslist. He was on the sex offender registry for a 2004 conviction of using a computer to solicit a minor. You would think that with a track record like that he wouldn’t be roaming free. In reality, not so much.
On 9/5 Lamb was arrested once again for allegedly abducting a woman he had met through craigslist…
However when she was handcuffed, Lamb began touching her sexually, then forcing her to perform oral sex. That’s when, according to her statement to police, she bit down while doing the act.
Oh yeah, I forgot about the part where she bit down on his junk. Not only good for her but it allowed police to arrest him at the hospital while he was being treated for junk bites.
Unfortunately he was out on bond after a witness to his previous crime failed to attend his bond hearing. At that point the prosecution could either only drop the charges or let him out on bond. That’s a loophole that needs to be closed. For all we know there could be victims that have yet to come forward that he accosted between now and then.
I hope he needed stitches, without anesthetic.
Brandon M. Amato
Whenever I hear tech journalists and other denizens of the Silicon Valley echo chamber talk about Snapchat they always say the same thing. “Snapchat isn’t used for sexting. It’s used by kids to send goofy pictures to their friends”. That may be true but it’s not stopping predators from sending inappropriate pictures to your kids.
For those of you who may not know Snapchat is a smartphone app that allows users to send pictures to each other that supposedly disappear after 10 seconds. However that isn’t always the case.
Getting back to the predator thing today’s contestant is 24-year-old Brandon M. Amato of Madison, Wisconsin. He’s a former high school teacher who allegedly sent pictures of his junk to two underage female students of his former school through Snapchat, one that 17-years-old and another that was 16.
Amatao is not the first teacher profiled on this site that was caught using Snapchat inappropriately. BY my count he’s the fourth. Not a huge number but why does Snapchat seem to be popular among teacher creepers?
Unless it’s through some school approved channels no student should ever be social network friends with a teacher. It gives a very bad image of the teacher.
54-year-old George Hristovski of Elverta, California, used to be an agent for the TSA. I say used to because he was recently arrested by the FBI for allegedly looking for mother-daughter sex on craigslist.
Investigators say that Hristovski placed an ad on the casual encounters section of craigslist looking to have sex with a mother and underage daughter. He received a response to his ad from a 30-year-wold woman with a 13-year-old daughter who said she was willing to entertain his sick requests. Reports say that e-mails sent from Hristovski to the mother were quite graphic and explicit. Of course the mother was actually an investigator for the Placer County Sheriff’s Department who traced his IP address to a Homeland Security owned computer. Homeland Security oversees the TSA and the TSA has terminated Hristovski’s employment. The FBI said that at the time of his arrest at his home Hristovski tried claiming that it was just a fantasy. Right, and if he showed up at a meeting point he probably would have been there to just ‘hang out’.
Just another sexual predator on craigslist who possibly could have used his government connections to do God only knows what to his victims. Yet craigslist gets yet another pass. Heaven forfend they should actually do any kind of moderation of their own site.
Steven A. Bahr
I really wanted to use one of those “You won’t believe what happened next” type of headlines because I think this something that all parents and kids need to see. However I refuse to stoop to those levels.
Anyway, 31-year-old Steven A. Bahr of Sheboygan, Wisconsin is accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl after she posted a pic of herself on Snapchat. For those of you who may not know Snapchat is a smartphone app where the picture someone takes is supposed to disappear after a certain amount of time, usually within seconds.
Reports say that the girl sent out a picture of herself at a local supermarket. Bahr allegedly replied to the photo asking if she wanted to ‘chill’. Bahr is said to have driven up to the girl and asked her to get in. When she refused Bahr supposedly grabbed the girl by the arm and put her in his truck. They made several stops before getting to Bahr’s place but the victim said she was afraid to ask for help. The alleged assault took place at Bahr’s residence. The girl reportedly said she was 17 on Snapchat but told Bahr that she was 15 before the assault took place.
Usually I’m not one to have problems with a victims story but I have a problem with this one. The first is that I thought someone had to be on your friends list to see your Snapchat pictures. (Please correct me if I’m wrong about that.) Was Bahr on hers? Secondly the fact that she lied about her age and didn’t ask for help during any stops make me wonder IF she voluntarily went with Bahr.
HOWEVER none of that matters because of one thing, the age of consent in Wisconsin is 18. 17, let alone 15, is well out of range of a 31-year-old man.
So parents, once again I say to you check your kids’ phones for this app. If they have it make sure you know who everyone on their friends list is. If you feel that your child should not have an app like Snapchat take steps to have it removed and blocked from the phone. I’m sure you don’t your child getting into the truck of a man in his 30s alone.
For those of you who may think I’m exaggerating about letting your kids have unfettered access to smartphone messaging apps like Kik please allow me to share something with you. The Trentonian newspaper in New Jersey claims to have had an actual pedophile call their news offices to discuss apps like Kik. He is said to have called in after reading an article about a child porn sting. What he had to say is both eye-opening and disturbing…
“There are two applications on the internet that kids go on, but adults are also on it,” said the man, who would not identify himself. “I could go on it now and probably within 20 minutes have videos, pictures, everything else in between off the app because I know they’re both still active. That’s where all the child porn is coming off of.”
The pedophile said any predator could simply download the Kik messenger app for a mobile phone, make up a bogus username, and through Kik download another app called Hit Me Up.
“With the combination of both of those apps, you go on and say ‘I like little boys between this age and this age,’ and people would start sending you pictures,” the Gloucester County man said. “Because that’s how I did it when I was doing it.”
“I made a stupid username and within five minutes, I got 20 pictures,” he said of the app that allows users to talk, browse and share content. “Kids are always on. You can even ask the kids on there to send pictures and they do. Those apps are well known in our industry.”
The fact that he refers to child porn an ‘industry’ disgusts me to no end.
As I’ve said before if your kids are using Kik on their smartphones someone would need to know their username to contact them. Unfortunately since their usernames aren’t tied to their cell numbers too many kids give out their Kik usernames freely.
I urge you to check your kids phone’s not only for the Kik app but check their friends list on the app as well. Make sure that someone like Mr. Industry isn’t soliciting them for photos.
I come from a time on the internet when people did not share personal information with strangers. This was a time before Facebook and social networking as we know it today. We were told never to share things like your address or phone number with people you did not know or trust. That’s the reason why I still use a pseudonym even though my government name isn’t exactly the closest guarded secret anymore. Old habits die hard. Maybe we should go back those ways as having too much personal information online can lead to the worst situations.
Recently a 14-year-old girl from South Euclid, Ohio received a threat to kidnap her if she didn’t respond with nude photos over the smart phone messaging app Kik. No one can message you on Kik unless you give them your username or if you make your username public somehow. The person who sent the message seemed to use a lot of the girl’s personal information against her.
The person sending the message told the girl he knew her full name, age and the school she attended. The person on Kik also sent photos of the family in their front yard that had already been posted on other social media sites, police reports say.
Thankfully this girl and her father went to police but how many girls wouldn’t have or haven’t?
So far no suspect has been apprehended.
Personally I think people who push their kids into modeling are mentally deficient. Too many people see it as a get rich quick scheme without realizing how many people out there want to take advantage of their children. I’ve posted too many stories about child predators and human traffickers who used the allure of modeling to get close to their victims. However if you’re going to push your kid in that direction don’t post ads on craigslist looking for work for your kid.
One such woman from Bakersfield, California placed such an ad and police say it was responded to 43-yer-old Charles Max Pollock of Las Vegas. That’s over a four-hour trip and almost 300 miles in case you were wondering. Pollock allegedly said that he was a photographer, rented a motel room and took explicit photos of the child. No word on the age of the child but he’s at least of computer using age since the article states that Pollock continued communication with the child. Since Pollock crossed state lines he’s looking at 30 years in federal prison.
Craigslist is the cesspool of the internet. If you post just about any ad in regards to an underage child you more than likely to get a response from a child predator than a talent agent.
Why do so many pedophile scumbags feel the need to post child porn to Tumblr? Do they really think that no one is going to report them? Tumblr is owned by tech giant Yahoo who have received enough bad publicity about predators in their old chat rooms. They don’t need any more bad press over something like that. In previous instances of Tumblr child porn, Tumblr has reported it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. People have been arrested for this.
For example there is 44-year-old John D. Corr of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. He was recently arrested for allegedly posting child porn to Tumblr. As you might expect his arrest came after Tumblr contacted the NCMEC who in turn contacted police. Corr is said to have been in possession of over 100 child porn files.
During the execution of a search warrant, police said, they recovered a HP Pavilion Slimline computer, an external hard drive, a thumb drive, “numerous zip disks” in plastic containers, and CD’s.
Zip disks? Really? 1992 called.
Anyway don’t think that you’re slick thinking you’re not going to get away by posting child porn to Tumblr. They will find it and they will report you. Instead just go ahead and turn yourself in if you have child porn and make it easy for police. You’re going to be caught eventually anyway.
