Primatene Mist discontinued because it hurts the Earth

I’ve had asthma since my early 20s. I was officially diagnosed with it by a medical professional about 10 years ago. I’ve been on a few medications for it. I had been prescribed Advair and Albuterol inhalers and Singulair pills. Even when I did have health insurance coverage the prescriptions could still run pretty high.

About a year ago during one of my many recent unemployed periods I couldn’t afford to get my Albuterol inhaler refilled but I was able to purchase an over the counter Primatene Mist inhaler. It was like an epinephrine epiphany. Not only does it work better than all three of my former prescriptions combined I don’t have to use it as often. While I was hitting my Albuterol inhaler several times a day I’m fortunate enough that I only use my Primatene inhaler once a day even if that. So not only does it work better at $14 at5 my local CVS it’s more cost effective.

So imagine my dismay when I heard on the Philly news radio station that Primatene was being discontinued by the FDA. Not because it doesn’t work or contains a potentially fatal ingredient, which it doesn’t, it’s being discontinued as of December 31st because it hurt’s the ozone layer…

Primatene Mist inhalers are being discontinued because they use chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) as a propellant (spray) to move the medicine out of the inhaler so patients can breathe the medicine into their lungs. 

CFCs harm the environment by decreasing the earth’s ozone layer. This layer of the atmosphere protects us from some of the sun’s harmful ultraviolet radiation, which can increase the risk of skin cancers and cataracts. The United States and most other countries have signed an international agreement to phase out CFCs and other ozone-depleting substances.

Really? Really FDA? You’re taking this off the market because of the fucking ozone layer? I’m sure it has nothing to do with the fact that Primatene is the only over the counter asthma inhaler. Now people who have used Primatene with no problem will have to get a prescription inhaler that not only costs more but is less effective.

Besides how much ozone depletion could the tiny inhalers actually cause?  I mean who cares if people with asthma can’t breathe as long as were satiating our white liberal environmentalist guilt right?

Luckily according to the Primatene website they are working on an inhaler that does not use CFCs. If it doesn’t work as well as the current model I will personally deplete the ozone myself.

Global warming: Extremists on the run:

This is a great article that exposes the myths of global warming and the Kyoto treaty.

Despite Russia, smart environmentalists aren’t rejoicing. Anyone with even minimal knowledge of energy and the science of global warming knows Kyoto is a sham. Europe isn’t meeting its targets, and, anyway, the rise in CO2 emissions is steepest, not in the United States and Germany, but in China and India, with booming coal-based economies. And China and India, like more than 100 other developing nations, are exempt from Kyoto’s strictures.

Economic studies show that, to achieve even minuscule temperature reductions, economic growth in the United States would have to fall to stagnation levels. Imagine the impact on the rest of the world of such a decline.

Yet we don’t see the tree huggers protesting in China or India or any of the other 100 exempt countries. Further proof in my opinion that modern environmentalism is just a flimsy disguise for anti-capitalism.

Defiant Saddam rejects court, charges:

I love these quotes…

‘Fahrenheit’ Web leaks add fuel to controversy:

This is classic. MooreWatch.com is offering a link to a free downloadable version of Fahrenheit 9/11 by using Michael Moore’s own words against him…

“I don’t agree with the copyright laws, and I don’t have a problem with people downloading the movie and sharing it with people. As long as they’re not doing it to make a profit, you know, as long as they’re not trying to make a profit off my labor. I would oppose that.”

Private Property May Become Preserved:

A law in King County, Washington is being considered where landowners will only be allowed to build on 10% of their own land…

Known as the 65-10 Rule (search), it calls for landowners to set aside 65 percent of their property and keep it in its natural, vegetative state. According to the rule, nothing can be built on this land, and if a tree is cut down, for example, it must be replanted. Building anything is out of the question.

I guess Hillary Clinton wasn’t kidding when she said “We’re going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.” This is idiotic. The King County government is basically telling you that the land you own isn’t really the land you own. That will really get commerce and private citizens to move to your county.

“We’re trying to keep the rural area a place that isn’t just McMansions and ball courts, but instead has those natural processes,” said Tim Trohimovich of the group 1000 Friends of Washington, which aims to promote healthy communities and cities while protecting farmland and forests.

Hey kids, another environmental group that wants to force you to bend to their will. Also the plan is backed by King County Executive Ron Sims who is running for governor as a Democrat. Go figure. The party that is all about freedom of choice, for trees and animals but not for people. I’ll have to come up with a communistic name for Washington like I’ve done with Kalifornia and Oregonistan. Any suggestions?

King of all assclowns Michael Moore has his colossal colon in a bunch because Disney passed on distributing F9/11 but is now distributing a movie that’s pro-American called “America’s Heart & Soul”. First of all Disney is a private business and they can choose whatever movie they want to distribute. Secondly, Disney has a history of being pro-American. Walt himself wouldn’t even let Kruschev into Disneyland. Last of all, just another example how most of the radical left is all about free speech unless it’s something they disagree with.

Radical Environmentalists Suspected in Arson

Radical Environmentalists Suspected in Arson:

An unoccupied apartment complex was set on fire and the radical eco-terrorists Earth Liberation Front (ELF) appear to be behind it. Graffiti was left at the scene that said “If you build it, we will burn it,”. According to the article there was no claim of responsibility on ELF’s website. Website??? What are a bunch of terrorists allowed to have a website? So I went to their website and this is what I found. First it opens with this picture….

With the caption “Every night is earth night”. And it contains such great articles as “Setting Fires With Electrical Timers – An Earth Liberation Front Guide” The site even contains a “diary” of all the criminal acts they’ve claimed responsibility for. It’s only a matter of time before these eco-terrorists kill someone when they set one of their fires. What if the fire had spread and killed neighboring residents? Would ELF have been so torn up that they would give themselves up? I doubt. They probably would just step up and start setting fires to occupied buildings. These scumbags need to be rounded up and put in jail.

Dirt Day

Today is everyone’s favorite tree hugging holiday. That’s right boys and girls. It’s Dirt Day. And here are a few of my ways to help celebrate.

Things to do for Dirt Day.

1. Use nothing but Styrofoam cups. And don’t reuse them just keep using new ones.

2. Buy a newspaper just to throw it out.

3. Instead of putting on your brakes at stop lights just rev your car in neutral.

4. Change your kids’ disposable diapers like every 30 minutes. If you don’t have kids buy some diapers and put them on your dog.

5. Go to the store and buy the industrial size aerosol can of Aqua-Net Super Hold go into the parking lot and just keep your finger on the nozzle until the can is empty.

6. Throw plastic shopping bags and six-pack holders directly into the ocean.

7. Start a trash fire.

8. Hammer copper nails into trees.

9. Pour used motor oil directly into the storm drain.

10. Smoke non-filtered cigarettes.

11. Eat Mexican food.

12. Start a tire fire.

13. Tell anyone that wears Patchouli that it smells like fertilizer.

14. Litter like you’ve never littered before.

15. Charcoal grill some steaks. That will piss of two different hippy groups.

16. Buy a tree just to cut it down then toss it in a gas-powered chipper shredder.

17. Throw red paint on one of those dorky hybrid cars. Unless its red then use purple paint.

18. You and a friend have a quick draw competition at the gas pumps.

19. Tell Ed Begley “You suck”.

20. When you see a tree hugger smoking pot tell them that their smoke is harmful to the ozone.

Dave Matthews is the anti-christ

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Dave Matthews is the anti-Christ. I just don’t get it. His music sucks out loud. It’s the most boring crap I’ve heard put on the radio since R.E.M. What is the big attraction? Not to mention that he’s from Charlottesville, Virginia. Not one of my favorite towns.

And now he’s Dave Matthews environmentalist. That’s the 3rd “6″ right there. Check out this article from CNN. The singer now has his own Ben and Jerry’s ice cream flavor. And the flavor has a goal. It’s goal is to make people more aware of global warming. Nice piece of marketing there Dave. Make people think of global warming by EATING SOMETHING COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dumbass.Actually shouldn’t you be hoping for more global warming then that would increase sales in your ice cream.

Global warming is a big myth anyway. It may feel like the world is getting warmer but it’s not. No matter how many unbearable summers I go through they rarely break the heat records that were set back in the late 1800′s and early 1900′s. Always on the news the weather guy says “but we still didn’t break the record set back in 5 BC.” or something like that. For more info go to Globalwarming.org

In conclusion Dave Matthews is satan. It’s the only way to explain his mass appeal considering he has no talent and hugs trees.
