Feds arrest man in Portland hotel on accusations of seeking sex with girl:

The FBI has arrested 33-year-old Lucas James Gautreaux, of Portland, Oregon for allegedly soliciting sex from an underage girl on craigslist. The Portland PD notified the feds after they noticed a casual encounters ad that was posted by someone lookingt to have sex either with someone’s wife or little girl.

A Portland detective who is a member of an FBI task force set up a meeting with Gautreaux at a hotel bar. The detective posed as a man with a 12-year-old daughter who would let Gautreaux have sex with her. How the arrest went down is a classic…

Eventually, they went to a fourth-floor hotel room. Inside, the shower was running, and the detective told Gautreaux that his daughter was taking a shower. The detective asked if his daughter was almost done.

Soon, the water stopped, and the bathroom door opened.

FBI agents came out and took Gautreaux into custody. They read him his Miranda rights.

While this is not a comical issue I just have this image of all these FBI agents storming out of the bathroom like it was a clown car before tackling this scumbag in a giant pile of pissed off agents.

As usual with these creeps Gautreaux had his excuses all ready. According to investigators not only did he say that he has Asperger’s, like that’s relevant, he said that he was really checking out the situation for a ‘friend’ who is a cameraman who makes porn. Hey buddy, that does not make your situation any better under any circumstances even if it was true.

So I still don’t get it. A few years ago MySpace was crawling with pedophiles and predators and everyone was so up in arms about it from the highest level of government to your local soccer mom yet no one gives a crap that they’ve all migrated to craigslist. Again I ask where is useful outrage when you need it?

Humble man accused of allegedly luring underage girls through Craigslist ad:

The human potato over there is 32-year-old Randolph Brian Stringer of Humble, Texas. He was arrested earlier this month for allegedly trying to solicit sex from a teen through an ad he placed in the casual encounters section of craigslist. According to police Stringer’s ad was entitled ‘Teen girl$ – m4w – 35 (Humble)’ and the ad itself contained the following…

“I’m looking for an eager, fun, young lady to spend some time with me. Contact with pictures asap. The younger the better please.”

Again, ick.

String was contacted by a 15-year-old girl. Stringer said that he wanted to buy the girl a pre-paid cell phone, a classic child predator trick. He also told the girl that he would teach her how to be intimate with a man.

Double ick.

Of course the girl was a member of the Harris County High Tech Crimes Unit. They monitor craigslist for ads like this in their area. Let me repeat that. The local police monitor craigslist ads. I don’t think this is the community policing that craigslist has in mind. If police departments across the country are monitoring their website and they aren’t then there is an obvious problem that craigslist continues to choose to ignore.

Stringer allegedly admitted to police that he had met other girls through craigslist. Again, when potato faced scumbags like this are caught it usually isn’t their first rodeo. Also sleep well Humble, Texas Mr. Potato Head here is out on bond.

I don’t know how I missed this story before but here we are.

35-year-old Eric G. Lowe of Sacramento, California was recently sentenced for soliciting sex from an underage girl on craigslist. Lowe posted an ad on craigslist seeking a young girl for a “Daddy/Daughter incest relationship”. Yep, I like I need a chemical shower after typing that. A 13-year-old girl named Amy responded to Lowe’s ad and began corresponding with him. He would ask Amy things like when was her mother going to be out of the house and can she bring a friend. Amy was actually an undercover police detective. After investigators searched Lowe’s computer they found that he was conversing with an actual teen from another town and was in possession of child porn. Lowe told investigators that he preferred 9-year-olds and admitted that he molested an underage girl. Ok, now I’m going to have to take a chemical shower and scrub with steel wool. Ick.

So what did this sick bitch get for all his troubles. 10 years in jail, 10 years on probation and a place on the sex offender registry. Not enough prison time. When he gets out, in probably less than 10 years since it’s California, probation and the registry is not going to be nearly enough to discourage an obvious predator like Lowe.

Also Lowe’s ad was allowed to sit on craigslist for months and nothing was ever done about it. Craigslist seems to have no problem with pedophiles using their site to find victims and the media refuses to call them out on it. A tragic cycle of apathy while children are being molested.

University freshman faces child pornography charges after Craigslist sting:

18-year-old Akshay Rajshekar was already facing child porn charges when he was arrested in Washington, DC for allegedly transporting child porn across state lines. He allegedly responded to an ad on craigslist posted by the FBI and the Metropolitan Police’s Child Exploitation Task Force. The FBI posed as a father that was turning out his 12-year-old daughter. Rajshekar is said to have responded to the ad and sent the ‘father’ several images of child porn. In one of the chats Rajshekar said…

“I really want to experience what it is like,” Rajshekar allegedly wrote in a chat obtained by investigators. “I have been trying to meet other pedos online with similar interest … [it’s] hard as hell.”

When Rajshekar went to the pre-arranged meeting in our nation’s capital Rajshekar was arrested and was said to be in possession of condoms and a laptop. He’s been charged with transporting child porn across state lines and travelling for the sexual exploitation of a minor and is looking at 40 years.

As I’ve said many times before if the police are posing as scum like fathers willing to turn out their kids than that means that there is scum who actually do that on craigslist. Still craigslist refuses to monitor their own site for creeps like this. Why anybody uses craigslist for any legitimate means is beyond me because the more people who continue to use craigslist the more craigslist turns a blind eye to the still high level of criminal activity on their site.

Craigslist Crime: Three in Custody for Soliciting Sex from a Minor:

In the city of Guthrie, Oklahoma three men in two separate incidents were arrested for allegedly soliciting sex from a 15-year-old boy on craigslist.

In the first instance authorities arrested 46-year-old Wallace Walters and 26-year-old Bobby Anderson. The pair was said to have been working together in their quest for the boy. They arranged to meet the boy at a local restaurant. They were unable to locate the boy and were arrested shortly thereafter.

The third man was 41-year-old Johnnie Jones. Jones was also arrested after not being able to locate the boy at the restaurant.

This restaurant they keep speaking of, I wonder if it had arches of the golden variety, but I digress.

The reason that the suspects could not locate the boy was because the boy was actually the Oklahoma Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Oops.

Here’s the thing that should wake people up about child predators like these. Guthrie is only a city of about 10,000 people yet they were able to catch three predators on their local craigslist in the matter of a weekend. Who knows how many are out there in that area that haven’t been caught yet. And as usual don’t expect craigslist to do anything about this. Since the media isn’t applying pressure on them anymore they could not care any less.

This is at least the third craigslist creeper from Arizona that I’ve posted about this year. I’m officially declaring Arizona a hot spot (pun intended) for craigslist creepers.

The creeper in question this time is 33-year-old Logan Goodon Jr. from Phoenix. Police say that he allegedly placed an ad in craigslist’s casual encounters section looking to have sex with a teen. Goodon received a response from a 15-year-old girl and said that he wanted to have sex with the girl while recording it on his cell phone. He allegedly arranged to meet the girl at a restaurant, my guess would be one that had a drive-thru. Except when he went to the meeting place the 15-year-old was actually the Phoenix PD. According to reports Goodon admitted that he knew what he was doing was illegal.

Once again though this brings up the fact that these are the types of ads that are being posted in the casual encounters section of craigslist yet no one is outraged, no one is questioning craigslist about it and it almost seems to be just an accepted practice. That’s pretty sickening if you think about it.

OKC Man Accused Of Soliciting Sex With 14-Year-Old Girl:

38-year-old Arthur Been Jr. of Oklahoma City was recently arrested for soliciting sex from a 14-year-old girl through craigslist. Been had responded to the girl’s ad saying that “I would like to meet you. I have never had a younger girl for a girlfriend so let’s see what happens.” Somehow I doubt that is true. When Been went to meet the girl it turned out that the girl was actually the Canadian County Sheriff’s Department. Oops. The Sheriffs say that Been admitted to them he knew what he was doing was wrong. Been has a previous criminal record that does not contain any previous sexual crimes.

Maybe if craigslist policed their own site for personal or casual encounter ads placed by minors the police wouldn’t have to., And always parents, please monitor your children’s internet activity as they have no business being on craigslist for any reason.

A couple of weeks ago I posted a story about a woman from Tempe, Arizona whose teenage daughter was solicited on craigslist after posting an ad for babysitting. She took her story to the local media after police did not arrest the suspect because of lack of evidence. That suspect has since been arrested.

22-year-old Joshua Vehmeier of Mesa was arrested two days after the story was aired. He’s been charged with sending the 16-year-old girl explicit photos of himself and soliciting her for sex. Police say they also found him in possession of child porn so I can almost guarantee that this wasn’t his first time fishing for victims on craigslist, only the first time he got caught.

Again I say to the parents on there craigslist is no place for an underage child no matter what the circumstance is. If your child wants to earn baby sitting money that’s great. Just don’t advertise their services on craigslist or anywhere else on the internet for that matter. Advertise at places like your local church, community center. or word of mouth to your friends. That doesn’t guarantee that your child may be not be placed in harm’s way but they’ll be a lot safer than with some random stranger from craigslist.

Arizona teen lured for sex on Craigslist:

In Tempe, Arizona the mother of a teenage girl is upset with police because she says the man who solicited her daughter for sex through craigslist has not been arrested.

The girl, whose exact age is unknown, placed ads on craigslist advertising her service as a baby sitter. Allegedly one man sent her explicit pictures and offered her money for sex. After investigating police had not yet charged the man saying there wasn’t sufficient evidence.

The girl’s mom had this to say about the man not being arrested…

“He went on that site to find teenage girls,” said Myers. “I’m frustrated because now he knows where we live.”

So you then decided to go on local TV?

Obviously she doesn’t read this site because if she did she would have known that craigslist is probably the worst place to allow your kids to place any kind of ad. Craigslist is crawling with sexual predators just looking for any ad that may lead them to a victim. This kind of ad is like blood in the water for sharks.

It makes me wonder if the mom in the story has ever had any business dealings with that nice Nigerian prince fellow.

School employee accused of trying to meet teen for sex:

48-year-old Mark Thorpe was arrested in Oviedo, Florida for allegedly soliciting sex from a 14-year-old boy on craigslist. According to police he arranged to meet the teen at one local park but when the park appeared to be too crowded he changed the meeting spot to another park. Of course the teen turned out to be the police and Thorpe was arrested. Police say that Thorpe had 2 porn DVDs and candy in his possession. I wonder if he drove a windowless van too.

Thorpe is a food service manager at a local middle school. Does that make him head lunch lady? Because of his position he is being held with no bond.

I remember back in the day when MySpace was all the rage various politicians and media organizations put the pressure on them to keep sexual predators off their site but yet none of these groups give a rat’s ass about craigslist.,
