Martinsville gunman faces new charges

Michael Phelps

Martinsville school shooter could face more prison time:

On the same day that Michael Phelps was sentenced to 30 years for shooting Chance Jackson at Martinsville West Middle School, prosecutors filed new charges of witness intimidation against Phelps.

According to prosecutors Phelps allegedly sent out letters threatening anybody who would testify against him…

“Everyone that snitched me out is getting something when I get out,” he wrote in one letter, according to court documents.

In another, he wrote, “This town is going to remember me when I get out(.) (T)hey better believe that.”

He also allegedly arranged a beating of a potential witness…

The witness, who was unnamed, thought he was meeting friends to play basketball but was beaten up instead, according to court documents. The person who beat the witness said, “This is for Michael,” according to the documents.

So much for being a loner with no friends.

No word on a possible sentence yet but prosecutors are saying that any additional jail time would be served consecutive to his current sentence.

This should go against his lawyer’s appeal that Phelps should not have been charged as an adult considering that he orchestrated retaliation like a jailed a mob boss.

Illinois man charged with cyberstalking

Wayne County Man Arrested for Cyber-Stalking:

21 year-old Justin Savage of Fairfield, Illinois has been charged with felony counts of cyberstalking, identity theft, and electronic harassment of a witness. It seems that Mr. Savage was involved in a fight and rather than taking his punishment like a man he decided to create a fake MySpace in order to intimidate a witness.

He created a fake profile under the name of a former friend of his whose nickname is ‘Sabetya’. Savage then allegedly put threatening statements about the witness on the fake MySpace.

No word on what the possible sentence could be for these felonies.

And if you take a look at his mugshot he doesn’t look so Savage now.

NC teacher faces new charges

Accused Concord teacher faces new charge:
I originally posted about James Black here. He’s the teacher from Concord High School in Concord, North Carolina that was arrested for having sex with a student.

Now he’s facing charges of witness intimidation for attempting to contact a witness in the case.

For someone who was a teacher he doesn’t seem very smart.

Thanks to my wife Jade for the link.

More witness intimidation through MySpace

Threats sent via MySpace account:
We have more witness intimidation on MySpace except not set to music this time.

Gabriel M. Forehand, 22, of Crestview, Florida was arrested for leaving threatening messages on a MySpace that belonged to a witness in a grand theft case against him.

The first threat stated “you’ll never make it to testify against me,” according to the report. The second one indicated the victim would get to watch his family die, with the last bullet saved for the victim, the report stated.

That’ll help you win your grand theft case, won’t it slapnuts?

Witness intimidtaion through song and MySpace

Police Arrest Teen for Threats on MySpace:
Shortest article ever…

Raleigh — Raleigh Police arrested a teenager and charged him with intimidating a witness with a MySpace account.

Investigators say 17-year-old Michael MacDougall posted a rap song on his MySpace Web page in which he said he would shoot the victim.

The song says the victim is a snitch, because he told police that MacDougall robbed him.

Here’s a thought. If you didn’t want the victim to snitch then maybe you shouldn’t have robbed him. Now he’s charged with robbery and witness intimidation. Keep raching up those charges M.C. Hammer.
